The Bontempi Group, based in Camerano, in the province of Ancona, is today one of the most well-known and dynamic realities of furniture productions, with high quality and income standards. Positive results are expected to be confirmed this current year. During the first half of 2021 the company recorded a turnover increase of approximately 25% compared to 2019.

The Colombini Group will independently finance the operation, partly using a credit line dedicated to the acquisition.

This acquisition is part of Colombini Group’s broader strategy. Thanks to growth through aggregations, an increasingly dynamic retail development and a strengthened international penetration, its goals are to become the real hub of the furniture industry in Italy. Family moulded, both in terms of size and breadth of the offer. Indeed, the Bontempi product portfolio will allow the Colombini Group to further strengthen its presence and respond to the growing demands of the furniture market.

The new Board of Directors of Bontempi Casa is composed of 5 members, 3 of which are from the Colombini Group and 2 from the Bontempi family that will maintain operational leadership of the company.

Emanuel Colombini, President of Colombini Group commented: “My family has for some time made a managerial choice for the Group, strengthened by the arrival of CEO Giovanni Battista Vacchi. Our strategy envisages a path of organic growth but is also aimed at exploring potential aggregations with furniture and design companies led by entrepreneurs ready to manage a capital passage oriented towards growth, economic and financial strengthening, and the ability to create synergies. We believe in collaborative aggregations; we think that companies interested in this path consider it strategic to have an industrial group like ours alongside them, synergically but also independently, led by managers and a family that guarantee a long-term vision. We are thrilled to be able to announce the agreement with Bontempi as the beginning of this virtuous path, which also represents a way to maintain in our land the leadership of these excellent companies of our field “.

Giovanni Battista Vacchi, CEO of Colombini Group said: “Our strategic plan is progressing at a steady pace and the results achieved allow us to continue towards the outlined goals. We foresee revenues of 250 million euros in 2025 and already today, both in terms of organic growth, on which we are working very effectively, and thanks to the operation just concluded, we can easily say that we are well ahead of our initial business plan. This trend allows us to continue looking at the market for other opportunities. The agreement with Bontempi Casa has been finalised with great commitment and determination, thanks to the team’s skills and the meeting with the Bontempi family, who immediately appreciated our industrial project. An extremely important aspect because it allows us to expand, in an efficient way, the breadth of our product portfolio through a partnership with a company that already has an excellent reputation and a path of independent growth on international markets”.

Michele and Massimiliano Bontempi, respectively Managing Director and Sole Director of Bontempi Casa commented: “We believe that the future for companies in our fields is to challenge global markets with all their complexities. We believe that strategic aggregations are essential to ensure the necessary growth to compete and win in this challenge. Together with our sisters Laura and Annalisa, we immediately appreciated the Colombini Group’s strategy of pursuing these goals also through acquisitions, because they are aimed at maintaining the identity and the family imprint of the combined companies. Their vision is consistent with our way of understanding business. We are convinced that with this agreement, thanks to our shared strategy, we will be able to achieve important synergies aimed at growth while maintaining the leadership of the company, which will have its own independent growth path, although integrated in a broader group strategy”.
